From 1am 22 January 2022, all international students with valid visas who are fully vaccinated with a Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) approved or recognised vaccination can enter Queensland with no quarantine required.
Students will be able to make their own travel arrangements directly into Queensland or via another state. You will need to ensure you comply with the requirements of the state or territory of your arrival, and any other state or territories that you plan to travel to. Please be aware that restrictions may change at short notice.
To enter Queensland, students will need to meet the following criteria:
- Complete the Australian Travel Declaration.
- Are fully vaccinated with a Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) approved or recognised vaccination.
- Provide proof of vaccination status.
- Provide a negative COVID-19 test taken in the 72 hours prior to your flight’s scheduled departure.
- Take a TGA approved rapid antigen test within the first 24 hours of arrival in Queensland. You will need to independently source and pay for your own RAT. As RATs are currently difficult to source in Australia, you may find it easier to source an approved test in your home country before travelling to Australia. More detailed information on rapid antigen self-tests can be found on this fact sheet.
If you intend to travel to Queensland before 1am 22 January 2022, please be aware that fully vaccinated students will still be required to quarantine as per Queensland’s COVID-19 Vaccine Plan to Unite Families.
