Queensland is excited to welcome international students back! We look forward to offering you opportunities to study, live, work and enjoy your time and experiences while in Queensland.

From 1am 22 January 2022, students with valid visas who are fully vaccinated with a Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) approved or recognised vaccination can enter Queensland with no quarantine required. Students will be required to take a TGA approved rapid antigen test within the first 24 hours of arrival in Queensland. More detailed information on rapid antigen self-tests can be found on this fact sheet.

Prior to making travel arrangements, please be aware of the Australian Government requirements and the entry requirements of the state or territory of your arrival and any state or territory you intend to travel to.

The Australian Government has also announced that any student visa holder, who is currently offshore and travels to Australia between 19 January and 19 March 2022, will be eligible for a AUD630 refund of their visa application charge (VAC). More information on how to apply for a refund will be available on the Department of Home Affairs website shortly.
