Pandemic financial support for students

International students who are studying and working in Australia may be eligible to access financial assistance through pandemic financial support payments recently announced by the Australian Government.

International students who are studying and working in Australia may be able to access financial assistance when they are required to self-isolate or are caring for someone with COVID-19, find more information on the Pandemic Leave Disaster Payment HERE.

Mental health support

Headspace is creating a free area on their app called ‘Weathering the Storm’ with access to meditation, sleep, and movement exercises.

A message to friends and family

Stay safe, stay in touch and be patient. Our borders aren't open, which is why our lines of communication must be. Continue the circle of communication with our close family and friends, keeping our loved ones updated on our situation. We are in this together and will get through this together. Reach out regularly and close the distance between you, your family and friends.

Your mental health and wellbeing is important in this unprecedented time. Take some time out of your day to acknowledge your feelings. How you tried new ways of adapting to studying, socialising or other activities  Ask your family and friends on how they are adjusting to the new way of life. The more you speak out and reach out, the closer you will get to finding your own routine.
