No attempt is or will be made to identify your personal details except in the event of an investigation when a law enforcement agency may exercise a warrant to inspect our server logs and web measurement tools.
As a Queensland Government statutory body, any official e-mail correspondence sent to our site will be treated as a public record and will be retained as required by the Public Records Act 2002 and other relevant regulations.
Our website support staff may monitor e-mail messages however, your name and address details will not be added to a mailing list, nor will we disclose these details to a third party without your consent unless required by law to do so. Trade and Investment Queensland has introduced e-mail filtering software which results in any messages with inappropriate material being blocked. The system generates an automatic message advising the originator and addressee that the message has been blocked.
If an individual believes that Trade and Investment Queensland, or a member of its staff, has not dealt with their personal information in accordance with the Information Privacy Principles (IPPs), a complaint may be made to the Agency. The complaint must be in writing and set out what occurred and what the person considers is the breach of the IPPs. The complaint should be made as soon as possible after the incident and in any case within six months from the date when the breach was suspected to have occurred, and should include as much detail as possible about the incident.
